Hey peeps, this is George, bass player for Twisted Country NJ! I have been playing bass since I was 14 years old. I consider myself the world’s “okayest bass player.” LOL!
My music inspiration came from a local band called ‘American Angel’ as I snuck into Club Bene back in 1990 to watch them play. They opened with a song called “Millionaire”, and truth be told, as I witnessed girls run up to the stage and put dollars in the band members pants, I thought to myself, “I WANT THAT!” Although that has never happened(lol), 35+ years later, I am still in love with playing music!
Back in 2012, I attended a Jason Aldean/Luke Bryan concert at PNC and I was blown away by the energy and the crowd participation. That night I made the decision to play country music. I was always a country fan as I was raised on Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Charlie Daniel's Band, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Strait, Randy Travis, and Alabama. But that night changed me, and I have not looked back!  Following that concert, I was the proud founding member to a very successful country cover band and John W. was our frontman for the first 3 years. That band ran for about 6 years and in 2019, I decided that it was time for me to step aside due to some health issues. Fast forward to 2023 and the itch to play again resurfaced. John was doing a solo gig and I decided it was time to reconnect. As John and I caught up, it was as if no time had passed. As my wife and I drove home that night, she said “I give it 6 months before you and John are back playing music together again.” Turns out she was right! Now here I am with my brothers in Twisted Country NJ.  To be honest, I was a little intimidated at first. These guys were solid and had a huge library of songs and many gigs on the books. After the first rehearsal, I knew it was the right fit! Chris, John, and Reilly said, “let’s just play and have fun”, and that right there lit a fire in me.I absolutely love playing in this band! The musicianship is like nothing I have ever been involved with. The families, friends and following are amazing! I was welcomed with open arms from day one, and feel totally at home. I am incredibly excited to be on this amazing ride. I am an avid outdoorsman and a true redneck at heart. I am a country boy that loves to cook on my smokers while entertaining family and friends. When I’m not at my smokers, or having family time with my wife and daughter, you can find me with a fishing pole, or bow/gun hunting, just enjoying the outdoors.

My sincerest love and thanks to my wife, Colleen and daughter, Alyssa for their unwavering support for us as we play A LOT! I am grateful they understand my true passion for music as I do miss events sometimes, but their love and support never changes.
